Eight Days of Thanksgiving

It is a rare occurrence this year that Thanksgiving and the eight day Jewish festival of Hanukkah coincide with each other.  Hanukkah and Thanksgiving share a similarity with the fact that both are times that we give thanks for what we have and the events, miraculous or not, that occurred for us to achieve these times of thanks.
I was listening to the Elvis Duran show, a local morning radio show here in the New York City area on Z100 (100.3 FM), when each of the DJs and members of the radio team would tell over what they were thankful for.  With humor and seriousness the impact of what was being told really told a story of the simple things in life that we should all be thankful for.  Not only just today but everyday.
One of the DJs told that he was thankful to see his mother come and greet him at the airport as he rarely gets to see her and as she gets older and older, smaller and smaller she tells him, "I come to the airport because I want to enjoy every second of your stay here …
